Mirror Mirror

Walking home today, I happened to look left at the corner before my block.  I could just make out something sitting on the ground where trash cans usually sit.  Well, it's me, I couldn't just walk home and wonder what was on the curb.  I walked over to find out.  Bammo, two mirrors.  They are in pretty good shape.  One has a tiny little chip out of the foam.

They are a matched pair of oval mirrors.  At this point of their life, one has a slightly different paint job than the other, but .....  two mirrors sitting on the side of the road for free.

Now, I am not normally the most vain person in the world, but I couldn't pass these up.   They are a little big for me to sell on ebay, but they are perfect for the upcoming garage sale.

Original Value:  ???
Resale value: $5 per for a total of $10 at the garage sale

Stool

I found a stool that I thought would work well in my art studio.  Its foldable and could be put away if needed.  As it turns out, its just a bit too short for my use.  It is, however, just the right size for my daughter to use at her Avocado stand.  Its the right, heigh for her to sit on, and the right weight for her to carry to the end of the driveway.

Estimated Original Cost: $20
Estimated Resale Value:  Invaluable since my daughter found a great use for it. (She's made $38 in two weeks of selling.  And thats only in about 3 hours selling time.)

Bicycle

Yesterday was trash day in my neighborhood.  As I walked up the street, this sweet little bike was leaning against a dumpster.  The former resident of the house passed away last month.  I know because I talked to her children who had been returning on the weekends to clean out the house.  This weekend, apparently, they  were cleaning out the garage.

This is a 3 speed bicycle, probably from the late 70's or early 80's.  I haven't had a lot of time to research this one yet.  The tires hold air, the brakes work and the shifter shifts.  All in all a nice little bike.  The only thing wrong with it is that the chain guard is missing.   I'm going to do a little research on this to see what I can find out.  It's labeled as "First Class."  I can find no other maker marks.  Maybe its a diamond in the rough?

If nothing else, it will find its way into next months garage sales.

Estimated resale value: $15 - $20, but perhaps more.

Ceiling Light Unit

My neighbor was nice enough to leave a pile of goodies out by the curb for me (or anyone else) to pick through.  I got this great ceiling light.  It appears to have never been used.  The wires are still fresh and haven't been attached to anything at all.  I don't know what I'm gonna get out of this.  It's pretty heavy and I don' t think I'll be selling this one on ebay.  This might be a better choice for the garage sale

Estimated value when new: $35
Sale Price:  TBD
